Meet the Owner
Hi, my name is Rocio! Growing up, I've always had a wild imagination. I thrived in any creative space, whether it be drawing, painting or writing. Drawing and painting were my first love. I would draw cartoon characters which eventually led to sketching and painting portraits of loved ones.
I first picked up a camera when the church creative director at the time asked me to join the photography team. I was hesitant at first but decided to give it a try. I haven't put it down since. Now, I'm blessed to lead our photography team as well as provide photography services for family sessions, birthdays, and even weddings!
Creativity doesn't stop there. One of my first jobs was at a coffee shop, where I realized I had a love for creating this beverage that made so many people happy. I've held on to the practice of being a barista ever since and it's something that I hope to expand on in the future.
This business is more than just a job, it's a love of life that I've built throughout the years!
Agape's Story
The term Agape refers to a selfless, unconditional love. It is the highest form of love. This is the love that Jesus demonstrates. In an effort to do everything with love and be Christ-like, I thought the name "Agape Studio" appropriate. The verse I like to tie into and use as a slogan is found in 1 Corinthians 16:14 which states, "Let all you do be done in love." This is the motto which I try to live my life by.
The goal for Agape Studio is to offer more than just photography. It is a place where you can get affordable creations of all kinds. Whether it be painted pet portraits or painted banners, digital invitations or graphics, and even branding for startup small businesses. I strive for personal relationships over transactional ones, so that any client can receive the best service possible.
2nd Photographer
This is Sarai, sister and assistant to Rocio. As sisters, they have shared many experiences throughout life. While many would say they are complete opposites in personality, they share common interests such as travel, food, and coffee. Although photography was not her first passion, Sarai has grown to develop strong skills in the craft. She diligently supports Rocio during large events and weddings, helping capture meaningful moments from different perspectives. She has been a wonderful addition to the Agape family.
